Tax breaks for filming in Israel with Highlight
The Israeli government is now granting significant tax breaks to foreign film productions that film their productions in Israel. To be eligible, film producers must co-produce with Israeli producers or production companies. Highlight co-produces both documentray and feature productions all the time with international partners. KASTNER to premiere at Haifa Film Festival
The Israeli premier for KASZTNER will be at the Haifa Film Festival on October 19. This documentary film directed by Gayln Ross and co-produced by Highlight follows the story of a Hungarian Jew, Israel Kasztner, who negotiated for lives with Adolf Eichman. A trial and verdict that forever stamped him as the man who sold his soul to the devil. Murdered by Israeli assassins who gunned him down in front of his doorstep. Now fifty years later, his daughter's desperate efforts to restore her father's place as the greatest Jewish hero of the Holocaust, and to uncover the mystery that still surrounds his death. Highlight to pitch Dead Sea film at Haifa Festival
Highlight's upcoming documentary 'Killing the Dead Sea' will be pitched at the Haifa Film Festival in order to compete for funding in a national competition for 'Green' documentaries. The film will compete against four others for the funding and was chosen from hundreds of submissions from around Israel on various 'Green' topics.
