Highlight Films and Director Gaylen Ross are finishing up production on the upcoming documentary film, The Persecution and Assassination of Dr. Israel Kasztner, about a Jew, Kastner, who made a controversial deal with Eichman and the Nazis to save Jews from their death. Ground and Aerial footage of Golan Heights

Following the latest announcmement sof Israeli, Syrian and Turkish officials about the ongoing peace negotiations between Israel and Syria, we have been approached by producers and broadcasters interested in Golan Heights ground and aerial footage. The Highlight FIlms archive has both grounnd and aerial footage filmned in DigiBeta and DVCAM formats, and plan to complete High Definition aerial filming of this area within the next 3-4 weeks.
HD ground footage will be taken on the last week of June.

Israel's Prime-minister Ehud Olmert was investigated today by the police for the second time. Olmert is suspected of having received large sums of money from Moris Talansky, an American fund-raiser.
Five Hamas gunmen were killed today by Israel Defense Forces troops in the southern Gaza Strip. The gunmen were killed by an Israeli helicopter, after they have fired and injured an Israeli soldier by an anti-tank missile. Highlight Films crews are located all over Israel and the Palestinian areas. We monitor the leading news stories in Israel and Palestine and mobilize our stand-by producers and camera crews accordingly.

News reports from Israel: new reporters!

By the beginning of June 2008 we plan to begin filming broadcast pilots and training sessions for news reporters from Israel the West Bank. The reporters will prepare news reports for our regular as well as special reports for worldwide distribution, in both Israel and the West Bank.
Our reporters will produce reports in English, German, Arabic, Russian, Spanish and Hebrew.
Production will be under the responsibility of the local office - Tel Aviv, Ramalla and Jerusalem.

Our next session of High Definition aerial filming of Israel will take place on May 30-31, 2008. We plan 10-12 flight hours during the two days, including sunrise and sunset shots of various landscapes of Israel.

New HD footage of Ein Kerem, Jerusalem

New in our High Definition footage library: Beauty shots of various locations in the old village of Ein Kerem, now part of Jerusalem. Our landscape filming crew took the footage with a Sony HDW-F900R HD camera in the last days of spring. Ein Kerem is believed to be the home of John the Baptist, and it houses several churches and monasteries. Several locations in the village date back to the early days of Christianity. Today the village is a unique example of co-existence between Muslims, Jews and Christians.

How to book a camera crew in Israel

Highlight Films provides fully equipped camera crews throughout Israel and the West Bank. Some of our regular crews specialize in ENG while others film mostly documentary films and longer current affairs and news features. We provide crews using both High Definition and standard definition cameras.

Following the latest political developments in Israel

Fixer services in Israel

Our fixers, or production coordinators, are very experienced with a variety of international productions and with the specific requirement for each kind of production.Our production teams include Israeli and Palestinian fixers, each of them specializing in certain locations or production genres. Before the filming begins, the coordinator / fixer will obtain all the necessary filming permits.

While the coordinator is with the crew in the filming locations, he or she are constantly in touch with the Tel Aviv office, providing them with news alerts, logistical assistance and online research work when needed. Highlight Films employs both Israelis and Palestinians who are all experts in this field.
