We provide crews arriving to Israel from Europe and the US with valuble knowledge and expertise about filming in the region. High definition aerial footage of Israel: Phase II complete

The Highlight Films production team has completed the second phase of "Israel on HD". After filming all of Israel from the air, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, The Dead Sea, Eilat and more, we are proud to announce that our High Definition aerial archive is now complete, and includes beautiful footage of Israel, south to north, east to west. We have completed all logging and will have screeners up both online and on DVD by mid-May. On phase III, beginning on May 3, we will film specific locations per demand and begin filming low altitude footage using both Ultralight gliders and remote controlled helicopters. Israel's 60th: Documentary Films

Highlight Films is offering broadcasters documentary content related to Israel's 60th anniversary coming up on May 8th, 2008.The content packages include documentary films produced between 1998-2006, documentary films currently in production and films and series currently in development. New, in production is the film, Return to Sobibor, about the excavation of the Sobibor concentration camp. Read about it here.

New in development: The Untold History of Terrorism

The Highlight Films' development team has begun working on a new documentary project: The untold history of terrorism. This documentary series will follow the history of Middle Eastern and European terrorism in the late 60's and 70's, as told in first person by people who were involved in either terrorism or fighting it.
The series will be based in part on research work concluded recently, that has not been published yet.

We will be looking for potential co-production partners for this series. European and American producers and broadcasters are invited to contact Noam Shalev for more details.

Crew booking in israel - Independence Day

We are now booking crews for the events around Israel's 60th Anniversary on the beginning of May. Highlight Films will be attending the international documentary conference and festival, Silverdocs, in Silver Springs Maryland this June. We will be attending symposiums with other top documentary production houses, researching potential future co-production partners and as well as networking with filmakers and producers from all over the globe. Holy Fire Ceremony in Jerusalem - now in High Definition

On Saturday, April 27, the Highlight Films filming crews will film the Holy Fire ceremony in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The Holy Fire ritual (Sabt A-Nar) is one of the most impressive rituals held in the church, attended by thousands of believers. Our High Definition crews will film the ritual from several positions.

Olim docu-reality show enters marketing phase

After completing the development of our upcoming tri-platform docu -reality series following eight young olim from all the over the world who chose to begin their lives again in Israel, Highlight FIlms has now entered the marketing phase of the project that should continue through the summer. Israel on HD: Phase I completed

The Highlight Films production team has completed the first phase of "Israel on HD". After filming all of Israel from the air, we are proud to announce that our High Definition aerial archive is now complete, and includes beautiful footage of Israel, south to north, east to west, including extraordinary shots of Jerusalem, day and night.
On Phase II, beginning on April 9, 2008, we will log the footage and edit screeners - both online and on DVD. On phase III, beginning on May 3, we will film specific locations per demand and begin filming low altitude footage using both Ultralight gliders and remote controlled helicopters.

Israel’s 60th Anniversary – high definition video clips of Israel’s aerial footage: we are now editing royalties-free videos clips of Israel’s natural, archeological and historical monuments. The clips will be available on both HD tapes, DVD and QuickTime downloadable files. A full list of the edited clips will be available on April 15, 2008.
