Production begins on docu-reality series about IDF

Highlight Films began this morning the production of BHD 1. This docu-reality series follows the IDF’s esteemed Officers Course. Six one-hour episodes will be edited by November 2008. The series is commissioned by Reshet, Channel 2, Israel.

Work on "1948" documentary film completed.

We have just completed our part in providing production services, high definition aerial footage and archive footage for the BBC "1948" documentary film, following events before and during Israel's independence war in 1948. The production lasted three months, beginning at the end of December 2007.

"1948" is one of several documentary projects focusing on Israel's 60th Anniversary we are currently working on.

HD beauty shots of Tel Aviv - news from our footage archive

The latest additions to our footage archive are beautiful shots of Tel Aviv from the Aviv tower, the tallest building in Israel. The shots were take at daylight, sunset and evening, and present a spectacular urban landscape. The footage was filmed by the Sony High Definition HDW-F900R camera and will be available for worldwide licensing after April 2, 2008.

Filming of Earth Hour Tel Aviv

Today, March 27 at 8PM, Tel Aviv will shut off its lights as part of WWF's Earth Hour inititaive taking place across the globe. New Docu-Reality Series about the Israeli Army

Highlight Films have begun the production of a new docu-reality series. Commissioned by Reshet – CH. 2 Israel, the series will follow the Israeli Defense Force's officers course, from beginning to end. There will be six episodes of one hour, to be aired in fall 2008. More details about the production will be realized on the first week of April 2008.

Our post production team is now fully capable to edit in XD format. This, of course, is in addition to our regular high definition and standard definition editing.Highlight Films crews are regularly using the Sony XDCAM EX-1 for documentary filming in Israel and the Palestinian West Bank.

Dear God, the documentary film to be directed by Alexander Gentelev, was accepted as a project in production to COPRO, the international coproductions forum in Tel Aviv. The project will be pitched to a panel of European and American producers and commissioning editors in May 2008.
